Julia Dubois
Introducing Julia, our Chief Operations Officer!
When she’s not at the office or enjoying a company board game night, you’ll find her soaring through the skies, performing thrilling loop-the-loops in an airplane.
What’s one of your most memorable flying moments?
Every flight is memorable because it’s a moment of pure bliss, the feeling of taking off from the ground and the freedom to be in the air is incredible. But if I had to choose one moment, it’s probably the first time I did aerobatics — looping and flying upside down was the best feeling ever. And it was on a wonderful airplane, a Zlin “Petit Prince” based on the St Exupéry novel.
Have any of the lessons you learned from flying come in useful at TenForce?
As a private pilot of a small aircraft, you constantly need to adapt and adjust your plan to the conditions you face and experience. You rely on your training to execute the right procedures, but every flight and every landing will always be different than what you expected.
This practice — mixing expertise and improvisation — has been extremely valuable in helping TenForce grow!
If you had to choose only one board game to play for the rest of your life, which one would it be, and why?
5 Minutes Dungeon, I played it almost every lunch with my daughter during the Covid lockdown. It’s fast-paced, requires good team collaboration and coordination, it’s always different and it’s always a lot of fun!
If TenForce had a company playlist, what songs would be on it?
I think it would be a very diverse playlist because we are such a diverse team. I would contribute by adding some from my go-to playlist a mix of Rock, Jazz, Blues, and some French pop (my guilty pleasure)!
